Divi Flamingo is an excellent small resort, overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Recently refurbished, the resort is painted in fresh "Caribbean colours" - colourful and unpretentious, like Bonaire. Divi Flamingo has amenities and activities for all guests to enjoy - but the atmosphere is always relaxed. The resort is laid out over a wide area, surrounded by tropical gardens, giving it a sense of space and a relaxed and quiet atmosphere. The resort has two small, quiet beaches. The easy access to the warm, crystal clear water is a joy for swimmers, snorkellers and divers and sunbathers can relax in peace and quiet. The resort has a dive centre and the wonderful Calabas reef is just a short swim from the resort's beach. The resort's location is perfect for visitors who want to relax, explore or enjoy the world class diving. Divi Flamingo is centrally located on Bonaire and all the fantastic dive sites are within 15 minutes - by car or boat. As these sites are close to shore, in shallow water, snorkellers will be able to enjoy them too. Bonaire is considered to be the best diving and snorkelling in the world. Divi Flamingo is 5 minutes stroll along the (flat) ocean front promenade from the main town with its restaurants and bars. Far enough away to be quiet but close enough to be convenient. The resort has two ocean front restaurants - Chibi Chibi (one of our favourites) and the Calabas Restaurant.

On Bonaire most diving is shore diving and snorkellers can enjoy the shore entry sites too. 51 shore diving sites means you can dive/snorkel when you like and pretty much where you like. Our famous DDD offers give the best possible price for a diving holiday and all divers can enjoy the freedom of our unlimited air package, making as many shore dives as they want, to suit their own capabilities and comfort levels. "Unlimited air" means what is says. As much air as you want. Bonaire is a small island, refills are never far away. To make the most of this freedom, to get to all the shore entry sites and explore the island, most visitors hire a vehicle. Driving is easy and on Bonaire you are never more than 20 minutes from Divi Flamingo or 5 minutes from the ocean. We can arrange vehicle hire at a lower rate than you would pay on island. Custom built dive boats are available, of course, for divers and snorkellers, comfortable and well equipped for the very short ride to the dive sites. Boats take very small groups, usually 6 to 8 divers and snorkellers and at most sites there will be just you and few (new) friends. This means boats can get booked up very easily.
Booking your diving, vehicle hire or other services for your holiday with us, will save you money and it will then be part of an ATOL protected holiday itinerary. That service will be ready and waiting for you on island and avoid possible disappointment.
We work closely with the PADI dive centre on the resort, which has excellent custom dive boats, a fully equipped dive shop and offers instruction courses for all levels. Morning, afternoon and night boat dives, 24 hour access to tanks, lockers for dive gear on the pier. Guests can dive or snorkel from the resort beach or dock. The excellent Calabas Reef is just 20 metres from shore. All of Bonaire's 80 or so wonderful dive sites are less than 15 minutes - vehicle or boat - from Divi Flamingo. Visitors always have good things to say about Divi Dive. Divi Flamingo participates in the Bonaire Marine Education Centre "Reef Explorers" program for children - supervised by a marine biologist. Guided day and night dives are available.
Divers are asked for a contribution of $25, and snorkellers $10, to the Bonaire Marine Park for the protection of the reef and the ocean. Payable at your dive centre. Wear your tag with pride. This contribution entitles you to free entrance to the Slagbaai National Park.
Tanks are A clamp and, if you have DIN fittings, you will need to bring a converter with you - or hire one on island.
